White Rocks Canyon

The Birchell family has been camping in White Rocks Canyon the past few Labor Day weekends. I love camping this time of year because the weather is so nice. We went up Friday night and had a great time visiting, exploring, and making s'mores. Brilee loves being around her cousins, and I love watching her be so happy. We couldn't stay the night (long story short... WE NEED A CAMPER!!!!! Talking Jake into such thing is a joke.) We got up early and headed up this morning and had a great time! Jake and Donny went on a long horse ride to look for elk. Jake found a cool elk shed. Brilee loved watching her Daddy ride his horse. She was kicking and laughing the whole time she was watching him. Brilee took a long nap, and the rest of us went on a pretty walk. It has been a wonderful couple of days. We are so lucky to live so close to all the wonderful mountain's. (Be prepared! LOTS of pictures.)
Jake and Brilee walking into the camp ground. She has started making this cheesy smile every time I take out the camera. Some mom's might take it as a hint they take to many pictures... BUT NOT ME!
Here is a close up of the beautiful smile!
As soon as the kids saw us walking in they came running!
Chazzy just can't get enough of Brilee.
Making our s'mores.
Jake and Coyote.
Granny with the cute babies!
Chloey is so sweet. I was watching her play with these little girls and she was being so sweet. She is so caring and is a very good baby-sitter.
Tytan and Jaylie spent a lot of the afternoon beading. They made everyone necklaces, bracelets, and key chains.
This is us taking off for our walk.
This is the turn around spot of the walk.
I pushed Jens to the top of the walk, and on our way we saw three dead snakes and started talking about bears. So, on the way back I pushed Jens and Chloey. (I definitely got a work-out!)
We had to stop at the "water fall" for the kids to cool their feet off.
These two are so cute! They are usually the best of friends.
At the end of the walk Elly found this giant stick so they all helped her carry it back to camp chanting "Hup two, three, four" the whole way. Ty and Jens never quite got the chant right.
This was a project poising the kids for this picture, but I think it is cute! Thanks for the idea Sharon.
