Thanksgiving Weekend!

We have had the greatest week! Stacia came home early Tuesday and the party begun! We hung out with Stacia, braved the blizzard of 2010, and the Fire Fly's (my team!) won an intense soccer game Tuesday. It was a great day. Brilee refused to nap all day so she went to bed super early, which made for an EARLY Wednesday morning. Jake and I only had to work until noon Wednesday and then he headed to Cabela's to get ready for his North Dakota trip. Brilee and I hung out and prepared for the crazyness ahead of us. Thursday morning we baked and completed our dinner assignments. Megan came over to play with Brilee, and then Jaylie came over to play with Megan. Brilee had a blast with the girls, and again refused her nap. We had a delicious dinner at Julie's and enjoyed spending the afternoon visiting and beading. Around 4:30 Brilee hit a breaking point. She was done and so I rushed her home. She was asleep before I could even make her a sippy cup. We woke her up at 6 and went back to Julie's to get ready for the movie. Jake decided he and Brilee would hang out with Ben and Cy instead of going to the movies. Jennifer, Megan, and I went to HP7.... It was awesome. We loved it! We slept in Friday and then headed to Vernal. Grammy had made a yummy breakfast so we ate, and then Jake and Stacia went shopping. I went to work, and then everyone headed to the cabin. Stacia and I stayed back so Brilee would nap. She took a long nap and woke up just as everyone was getting home from the cabin. We got bundled up and then headed to Holly Days. Brilee sat on a camel and rode a miniature horse. She was pretty humble about it. We FROZE at the light parade, but were all so excited to see Santa!!! Half way through the parade Brilee started telling everyone bye, and so we took that as her subtle hint she was ready to go. We weren't sad about leaving the 10 degree weather either! Grandpa made a yummy prime rib dinner, and then we left Brilee with Amanda, Jaylynn, Grammy and Grandpa and went to Due Date. It was funny, and Brilee LOVED staying awake until after ten! This morning she is acting a bit off. I am sure it is just from her being so busy and not being on her schedule for the past few days. Today we are staying home, and doing nothing. We were so busy that I didn't take many pictures... but this is what we have!

Night at the Rec. Center

Jake called me this afternoon and asked if I was still planning on going to the Rec. Center. Tytan was with him and decided this was a great idea. He was set on going. Jake came home and Brilee woke up from her nap earlier than expected, so we figured we may as well go. We picked up Tytan and headed to Vernal. As we drove by Bottle Hollow Reservoir Brilee started saying, "Oh, water. Swimming." It took Jake and I a minute to understand her, but Tytan picked up on it right away. "Oh Bri Bear we can't swim there." We got to Vernal and picked up Tytan's BEST FRIEND, (we heard this a lot, haha!!) Creeson. Tytan and Creeson had a blast swimming together. They both put on life jackets and took off. The only time I saw them was when the life guards were yelling at them because they were doing flips into the pool wearing life jackets... by flips I mean somersaults. Brilee was a crazy little fishy of course. She loves the rec. center. She just takes off like she owns the place. She goes down all the slides by herself, climbs the stairs alone, and has figured out how to hold her breath. She loves diving under the water and then coming back up. She was scaring the life guards to pieces. They thought Jake and I were crazy because we would let her dive in, swim a little, and then come back up. It is scary though! She also likes to lay on her back and take off rolling. 

She was just like a big kid out there playing. The bucket even dropped on her and she giggled about it.

Jake hasn't swam with Brilee for a long time and he was pretty impressed. First thing he said when we got in the car, "It is crucial she learns to swim fast..."

After swimming Ty and Creeson wanted to climb. 

Ty got one step away from the VERY top, but his arms were so tired he couldn't take the last step to ring the bell!

Date Night

Brilee ate a YUMMY dinner that she LOVED tonight... spaghetti, banana's, and green beans! Look at that mess...

Brilee found her apron tonight, then she found me an apron, and Jake an apron. We were not allowed to take them off either. I put lipstick in her pocket, and then she threw herself a little fit when she couldn't find more lipstick to put in mine and Jake's pockets.

She has a nasty cough, and so I was trying to get her to let me look at her throat.... she is good at it!

Jake spent the whole night not worrying about knocking down pins, but instead mastering his "spin".

At the Taylor's Halloween party we got the bright idea to set Wyann's BF up with Bertagnolli (from work). We finally made the date happen tonight. The Taylors, Jake, Bert, Deb, and I all went bowling. It was way fun. I am not the best bowler, and could have quit after the first frame... but it was way fun hanging out with everyone.

That's right!!! Brilee is now BINKY free. We have made it two nights and one nap without a binky. I snipped all the tips off and she would suck on the binky and then take it out and say, "ew, nasty binky. I don't want it" She found a binky I missed so she hurry and hid it from me, but she hid it so good she can't find it now. This transition is going a lot better than I could have even imagined. GO BRILEE!!! 

Cedar City

Thursday morning Brilee, my Mom, and I headed to visit Stacia, GGMA, GGPA, and AJ in Cedar City. We had a long drive with Brilee only sleeping an hour of the way and screaming the other four. We were very happy to get to Stacia's. We visited with Stac and Manny (Macy's cute puppy that Brilee is obsessed with) until it was time for her to go to class. She took off about the same time the Cali crew showed up! We headed to their hotel and got all caught up with them, and waited for Stacia to get out of class. We went back to her place hung out, and then went to the Pizza Factory for dinner. It was delicious! We went back to Stacia's after dinner to make plans for the evening. Brilee was tired, but wasn't about to miss the party. We decided to go watch Macy dance, and my mom stayed to put Brilee to sleep. Macy did a great job (there were some interesting dances... not hers, but the intermediate group... WHOA!) Brilee went right to sleep for my Mom. She left her on Stacia's bed and in the blink of an eye Manny was on the bed waking her up. Brilee was stoked! She ended up staying awake until almost 11. Friday we woke up, went to breakfast (humph!), Stacia went to class, and so we went to Wal-Mart. Brilee was the most spoiled baby in Cedar! She walked out of the store pushing a new stroller and new baby! She was pretty happy. She and GGMA decided to stay at the hotel and relax (Brilee slept) while we walked the campus with Stacia. It is a beautiful campus with a fun and relaxed feel to it. Grandpa was invited numerous times to the techno dance... Stac, Amelia, Keeira, Brilee, and I then went to Ninja for some yummy sushi! Brilee loved the fish aquarium. I loved all the baby-sitters at the restaurant. After lunch we took the girls to the park to let them play. They were so sweet. Finally, it was time to swim! Brilee is a fish. Poor girl loves the water, but the water doesn't love her. Every time she swims we have ear issues. We are going to talk to the ear doctor about ear plugs. Kee had a great time swimming too! The rest of the evening was spent chatting and hanging out at Stacia's. It was way fun! This morning we went to IHOP with the fam and Stac's friends, said our farewells, and then hit the road! Brilee slept a lot of the way home. She was soooo excited to see her Daddy in the driveway when we pulled in. She missed him. Thanks so much for the fun weekend! We love you all, and can't wait until Thanksgiving/Christmas to see everyone.

Heart Breaker

Tonight at dinner Brilee was playing peek-a-boo with a little boy from across the room. Jake and I laughed at them and commented on how cute they were. We went back to talking and not paying any attention to anything. Pretty soon the little boy (about 3) came up to Brilee with a plate of cookies and said, "Scuse me can she have a cookie?" Jake and I said sure and he proceeded to tell us how cute he thought Brilee was. I told him what a nice boy he was and Jake asked his name. He replied, "My name is Jeffery, but she can call me peanut." 

Quick Trip

Del decided to fly into SLC to watch the TCU/Utah game. Jake, Brilee, and I decided to go see him! The game was AwFuL (for the Utes), but the weekend was a blast. We got to Salt Lake around 5:00, and Cathy and Roger cooked us a yummy dinner. We ate, visited, and laughed at Brilee Rose!!! She is an amazing entertainer. 

"Aunt Acky" (aka Aunt Cathy) gave Brilee a blanket right at bed time and she made herself a nice bed on the kitchen floor.

We forgot to bring Brilee's sippy cup. We stopped at the gas station and got a belly washer. It didn't make her happy at bed time, but lucky for her Grandpa Kool-Aid stopped at the grocery store and picked one up for her this morning.
