Well Child

Brilee had her 2 year old well child check today. She did so good. She was having herself a great time playing and getting into everything. Then Doctor Staker came in and looked in Brilee's ears. He had to dig some nasty wax out of them so he could see better into her ears. This made her mad, and Doctor Staker referred to himself as a monster during this. Her ears were healthy and clear. She has a tube in the right ear, and no tube in the left ear. He said both ears were good though, and so I am not going to worry about that. Brilee is now in the 80th percentile for her height and the 50th for her weight. She got one shot today, but she was okay because she had a sucker to get her through. We started out with well child visits every two months, then moved to every three, next came every six months, and when we left the office today the nurse said "We will see her when she is three..." Crazy!Brilee is OBSESSED with make-up. She especially likes "lips". As we were getting ready to head out the door Brilee snuck my mascara out of my caboodle, and went into hiding. When I finally found her behind the couch she had already put her lips on... BEAUTIFUL right?

Big Bed!

Monday Brilee won the lottery for little kids! Jaylie got a new bed, and she passed her old bed down to Brilee. Bear has always LOVED Jaylie's bed. Anytime Brilee would go to the Michaelson's we would have to slide a couple times before we could go home. The first night Brilee slept ALL night long! She woke up around 6 (her usual...) and I went in her room to get her. I went to pick her up and she said, "No my bed. Where my sippy at?" She then spent the next hour giggling in her bed. Last night Brilee was sleeping away when Jake woke up in a panic at 1:00. He was yelling, "She fell out of her bed. RUN! Bear are you okay. Brilee Brilee where are you?" He ran into the door as he was running to her room. He was making a true ruckus. I was in complete shock because I hadn't heard anything. Hum.... turns out he was dreaming. (I knew he was nervous about Brilee being in a big girl bed, but I didn't realize how worried he was!) Brilee was sound asleep IN HER BED, until the uproar began. She then thought since he woke her up it was morning, and so she was geared up ready to go. We (well, Finding Nemo) finally got her calmed down and she started talking about her bed. Jake asked if she wanted to go to her bed and she replied, "No, I stay here now." haha Thanks Jay Bug! She loves the bed, and loves you for giving it to her!

Timeout

Our new found punishment for Brilee is to make her stand with her nose in the corner. Tonight she kept biting me and so I made her stand in timeout. She didn't like it at first, but then she decided it was great. She was laughing and teasing me the whole time. She would come over pretend to bite me and say, "Time out... nose in corner." She would then take off running to the corner. I think we need to find a new punishment, but this one is really cute!

We had a great day today... I started back to work (ugh), Brilee hung out with Grammy, we went to Papa Murphy's and got heart shaped pizza, and we played Mario! I hope you all were as exciting as us...

Its Been Awhile...

Sorry to my Grandparents for being an unfaithful blogger the past couple of weeks! We have been crazy busy, and a lot has been going on. First, and most important, I want to give GGPA Dickson a big shout out! Keep healing, we love you, and can't wait until this is behind you... 

My time off of work has flown by... I go back to work on Monday, and I am pretty excited about it. I will miss all my time with Brilee... but that is the great thing about her being at my parents. I don't really miss that much time! During my time off Jake and I have been playing a lot of Mario, and I am pleased to announce we got to the THIRD world tonight! 

I wanted to update my blog tonight, but my camera has been missing. (My Dad solved that mystery for me tonight.) So, luckily, Jake got a FLIP for Christmas. We have never really used it, but tonight we will try this whole video posting out! Update... this takes forever. I have to be doing something wrong.   FIGURED IT OUT! BOO YA!

 Disclaimers: We really didn't want Brilee in the kennel, but she would not stay out of it. She threw a fit when Jake wouldn't lock her in it, and so he finally did. She is crazy! Our favorite parts (you have to know what she is saying to actually hear her saying it...) "Don't growling ." To poor Tator, when all he wants is to sleep. "Stop it!" When Jake is signing the ABC's...
