First trip to Cabela's!

Last Friday Ben, Andre, Cy Jake, Brilee and I took a trip out to Provo. We went to Cabela's, PF Changs, Target, and of course Costco! It would have been a long busy day anyways, but add two two month old babies to the mix and it makes it just plain CRAZY! Luckily the babies did really well, and so did the Dad's! 

Two Months Old

Brilee is now two months old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by! It seems like just yesterday she was born. She is such a sweet baby. She is very relaxed and easy going. Jake and I are addicted to her smile. We love her so much and are so glad she is in our life. 

Two months old is big day in a baby's life. Brilee got to get her first shots on 3/25/09. When we got to the doctors office he wasn't in due to an emergency. I felt so relieved because Jake couldn't come to her appointment with me, and I didn't know if I could handle her getting the shots by myself. Just as I was rescheduling in walked Dr. Staker. I was so disappointed. Brilee weighed 11 lbs. 5 oz. and is in the ninety-fifth percentile in weight. She was 21 inches long which is the tenth percentile for height. The doctor told me not to worry, she would eventually catch up. He looked her over and played with her for awhile and said she looked great. Then he explained the dreaded shots to me. The nurse came in and Brilee was smiling at her and cooing at her so she didn't want to give her the shots either.

She poked her first leg with two needles and her second leg with one. It was all over in about ten seconds. Brilee's smile quickly turned into a huge pout, and then the screaming began! She cried and cried. I finally got her settled and put her in the car seat and the strap touched her leg so she cried so more. We had two long days of her being fussy, but now she back to normal! I am already dreading the four month shots...

First Blog!

I have decided to try blogging. I am excited about this because I love reading others blogs. This will be a good way for my family and friends to stay updated on the happenings of our busy life. I also want to do this because I am terrible at keeping a journal, and so this will be my online journal. I hope when Brilee is older she will read this, because it is  going to be ALL ABOUT HER!
