Party On!

We were able to celebrate Bronson's birthday today with family. It was a wonderful party. We combined Elly, Jens, and Bronson's birthday parties together so it was a big deal. We ate dinner, sang, ate cake, opened presents, and played. What could be better? Bronson is at that tough stage where he really doesn't like too many people. He was shy about everyone being in house, but still put on a good show. Thanks to everyone for coming, the gifts, and all the fun!
Jake put up our swing set, and built a sand box for the kids. It was a big success.

 Pretty wild!

Everyone watching Bronson dig in!

ONE YEAR OLD!!!

WAHOO!! B-Man is officially one year old. In true Bronson fashion, he brought it in with a bang! Thursday night Jake and I decided Bronson just wasn't getting enough air. We took him to the E.R. and they agreed. They admitted us into the hospital (after x-rays and tests) and determined he had a viral infection that was affecting his upper respiratory system. He had to be on oxygen most of the day yesterday, but after numerous steroids and breathing treatments he seems to be better. They released us this morning. It was a long birthday, but he still had an okay day. His sweet nurses brought him a present, and then the whole staff sang Happy Birthday to him. He made a lot of friends, and anyone he saw fell in love with him. This morning the doctor came in for his final check and Bronson instantly started shaking his head and saying, "Na, Na, Na" It was cute. The doctor was very impressed with Bronson's vocabulary and interaction with people. Dr. Wheeler watched him for a few minutes then said, "Does it scare you to think how busy this boy will be when he is like 2?" Both Grammy and I just started laughing... because YES it does!

I will take Bronson for his WCC on Monday, and so I will have stats for you then. As for now here are some things Bronson is up to.
*He is walking all along furniture, and can transfer from one couch to another
* He loves food. Anything (except the obvious) and everything!
*He says Mama, Daddy, Dada, Baba, Tator, Raja, Dog, Horse, Cow, What's that, Hi, Bye, Na (no), What's that, uh-oh, and hi.
*He points which helps figure out what he wants

As we sat in the hospital last night I couldn't help but remember last year at that time (it was totally better this year, because I wasn't on that HORRIBLE drug known as magnesium). It's been a crazy hard year, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. He is perfect and one of the greatest loves in our life. Bronson- you are awesome (and I am exhausted after our long hospital nights)!

Bri brought Goldie for Show-n-Tell this week. It was awesome. She was so excited.

 Stacia's class drew her...

All American Girls

I have had this little gem since November. I told the girls I would post it to youtube, but I can't remember my login and pw. I think it is better on the blog anyways! They are all great, but Chaz somewhat steals the show...

The Results

Yesterday was the big day for Bronson. Jake, Bronson, and I woke up at 5 and hit the road thirty minutes later. We got to the doctors office 30 minutes early, but they got us right back. I LOVE Primary's. The doctor was awesome, and gave us complete reassurance. He answered our million questions, and provided us with lots of quality information. We decided the best test for Bronson would be the scratch test. The nurse came in and put the stuff all over his back. He instantly started reacting... to everything. Jake and I were freaking out. The nurse said we really wouldn't know anything until the 15 minutes were up. So I began walking the halls with Bronson to keep him entertained, and I can't hold still. Finally the timer went off, and I looked at the reflection in the mirror and saw the only one that looked different from the negative control was the egg. I knew that was a good sign! The doctor came in and confirmed Bronson cannot have egg whites, but everything else is good. Such a relief! The doctor also told us he believes Bronson will outgrow this allergy soon. He believes within 6 months he should be able to eat foods with eggs baked into them. We will go back out on October 6 and have him take a baked food test with the doctor. I will make cupcakes and the doctor will feed them to Bronson and watch his reaction. Jake and I were so happy leaving Salt Lake and felt like we heard just what we wanted to hear.
