Easter #2

We had a wonderful Easter... Here is the proof:
Jubilee had an Easter cookie decorating party for the kids, and so Brilee and I decided to check it out! (Stewart's had one too, and Brilee went to that party with Granny). Brilee really enjoyed decorating the cookie, and eating the sprinkles.
Here she is with her cookie!
We had to wait in line to meet the EASTER BUNNY! Brilee wasn't a fan, and ended up crying the whole time she was around the Bunny.
We colored eggs... It was a mess! Brilee would throw the eggs into the dye, they would crack, and she wasn't patient enough to let them get colored.

The Easter Bunny came!!!!

Brilee slept in!
Brilee could eat oatmeal every meal of the day!
The Laws' spent their weekend in Blanding, and so we got to help with the baby cows (Jens and Tytan are their names)! We love feeding them their BaBa's...

These pictures were supposed to be a post of their own, but I never got around to it. Here is Brilee on her last day of swim lessons. I am so glad we did swim lessons. We had a lot of fun with them. I will for sure sign her up for the next block. On the last swim lesson they let all the kids jump off the diving board. Brilee LOVED this! She was fearless and loved every minute of the diving board. The only problem is now when we go to the Rec. Center she is going to think she needs to jump off the board the whole time... JOY!

Swimming sure wears her out!

Tylenol

I am NOT a fan of Tylenol Meltaways. Brilee doesn't like the liquid medicine, and so I bought her them. She loves them. She thinks they are candy. On top of having strep Brilee's two year old molars are trying to come in. She woke up last night in a lot of pain and so I busted out the medicine. I got the Tylenol, but then decided to go with Ibuprofen instead. I gave her the medicine set it above the couch (which is multifunctional, and also serves as her bed). I woke up and got ready for work. Brilee was still sleeping so Jake said he would just take her to Jenny when she woke up. Well, she woke up and Jake didn't hear her. She is rather sneaky. She figured out how to open the child proof Tylenol lid, and decided to have herself a little treat. Jake found her with her fists full of the pills. He put them away, and called me. He couldn't tell if she had eaten any. I googled it (of course), and talked with people at work. I went to Wal-Mart to see how many tablets were in a bottle, and decided to talk with the pharmacist. He scared me to death, and told me to get her to the ER immediately. So I did. I didn't even call work to tell them I had left. I ran to the camper got the bottle, counted them (there were 12 left), went to Jenny's, and we headed to the doctor. I was scared and so I was crying. Brilee kept asking me, "You bite? Daddy bite you?" In her little world the only reason anyone would cry is if they A. Bite someone or B. get bit by someone. We got to the ER and they got us right back. The doctor took her blood and said he wanted us to stay at the hospital to do a couple more blood test. Brilee hated having her finger poked. She keeps talking about "mean Dr. Staker poke me."  (Dr. Staker wasn't even the doctor, but whatev.) The blood work all came back negative, and so LUCKILY we were sent home. This was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I am going to do everything in my power to not be so complacent. AUGH! Rough day... luckily for us we were home just in time to take a three hour nap together!

In Case You Wondered

Yes... we had a rough night. She didn't want to sleep, and when she would sleep it was restless. Jake and I ended up sleeping in the living room on the rocking chair with her. When morning came around she acted like a new girl, thankfully! She is finally feeling close to normal, but I can tell she is exhausted and weak. Right now she is watching Barney and snuggling with Jens. It's the cutest thing ever!
Brilee found her White kitty this morning! It made her day...
Until she saw the gray kitty, and she squealed with pure joy!
She fed them her biscuits and gravy...
Then she got to play with her cousins... This was at her breaking point.

This was her calming point, and now she is sound asleep!

This movie is old, but it loaded so I wanted to share!

What a way to start the WEEKEND!

Yesterday we started noticing Brilee was not acting like her cute bubbly little self. She coughed all day, and had low grade fevers. She told us all day her eyes hurt, which we decided was her way of telling us she had a head ache. I took her to swim lessons (not the best idea) and she acted fine. We got out of the pool and she didn't want to get out of the hot shower. Normally she hates the shower because it "hurts" her. I got her dressed took her to my parents house and went to my basketball game. After my game I went to pick her up and she was chilled, but had a high fever. We gave her more medicine and I headed home. She slept the whole way home, but woke up when we got in the camper. She stayed awake, watching Barney, until 11. I woke her up at 11:30 because it was time for more medicine. Again, she had to watch Barney and stayed awake until right before I had to wake her to give her more medicine. This was our story all night. Jake and I didn't sleep a wink, but we did learn to use manners and magic words. We watched the same Barney's Manners show 16 times... OMH it was painful. (Today I bought six new Barney movies. I would do anything to go back to Nemo...) She had fevers up to 104.5 and with medicine every three hours she averaged about 101. Today she coughed non stop, and kept saying "My belly hurt." She also had the SMELLIEST breath ever, which made me suspicious (but I also thought maybe it was in my head) . So I called Dinoland Ped's and got an appointment set up for 6. I debated going thinking they would say nothing was the matter with her, but I really wanted them to give her cough syrup so I decided to go. Dr. Qack (haha) got right to Brilee and started to look her over. She said over and over, "Don't look at me. I go home. I done. I potty. Don't look at me...." He listened to her lungs said they didn't sound pretty, but her ears looked great. He got the 'ole Popsicle stick out, stuck it down her throat, made her gag, and said "Its strep.". He didn't even need to do they test he was 100% positive, and he wanted her to get medicine in her ASAP. I left his office, and went straight to the pharmacy. She took her medicine and instantly fell asleep. She woke up about a hour later and was trying to throw up. We got her tummy settled, she ate a TON of chicken and yogurt, and she started playing. She played to hard and then ended up puking all over Grammy. Numerous times. It was awful. Poor baby (more like poor Grammy)! On our drive home she fell asleep fast, and I was doing everything I could to stay awake! I called Jake about ten million times, sang with the radio, and let the windows down. I finally turned up the road and felt so good about being home. I pulled into our old house and started thinking, "Geez, Jake. You left the front door open." Then it clicked... OH CRAP this isn't my house! HAHA! I peeled out of there, FAST, hoping they didn't notice me. (Jake just told me he did that the other day too) I hope the medicine kicks in fast, and our little girl is back to normal soon.
This is an old picture, but it's a goodie so I have to share! Jake got Brilee her first saddle, and it's the cutest thing you'll ever see. It's TINY, and she loves it! It is an actual saddle, and so if she is feeling up to it tomorrow we will put it on 7G so I can take pictures of her in it!
Jake participated in the State Team Sorting competition tonight. He has retired Uma from sorting, and now uses 7G. They did pretty good tonight, and barely missed out on the finals. Next year 7G! He called me about ten minutes before it started and said, "They won't let me ride without a cowboy hat. Do you know where we packed them?" Lucky for us, they were in my parent's garage!
Here is Brilee with her Augmentin (sp??) mustache.
Look at that sick baby! If that doesn't break your heart, you don't have one.
This was her temp. right before we got to the doctor's office.

Breath

Wow! A lot has happened/is happening since the last time I blogged. We are staying super busy, and I have been slacking with my camera. I actually haven't taken ANY pictures... So I am very sorry, but I promise I will get better. Starting TODAY!!! Here are some of the things we have been busy with: 1. Swimming Lessons! Brilee started swim lessons two weeks ago. We go every Tuesday and Thursday. Brilee loves it (who would have guessed...) She is doing so well, and is finally swimming. She can swim about 15 feet take a breath and swim some more (she made it clear across the pool yesterday...with help), push off the wall, float on her back, turn from her belly to her back, and push off the bottom of the pool. Her teacher suggested yesterday I put her in the 3-4 year old group for the next section. I am all about it, because I won't have to swim with her! 2. Horse Training. Jake started training two horses two weeks ago. One is Jeremy Harris' and the other is Bruce Horrocks'. He has made it this long and can still walk and has no broken bones so I think he will make it! The first week is the LONGEST, and he puts in a lot of hours. The horses are finally starting to come around and so it will get easier now. 3. Moving.!.! The much anticipated moving day finally came and went... Jake and I started getting ready to move and saying, "Any day now" the last week of March. We were starting to get nervous when it took so long. Friday afternoon I got a phone call from the loan agent at Mtn. America saying that Dustin was signing immediately, and that we needed to sign right after him. He said, "It has to be today, because I just heard about the government shut down and this could really mess things up." UGH hello... were you living under a rock? I then had to explain the whole shut down to him, and he really knew nothing about it. I called Jake and we headed to Roosevelt. We got to Basin Land and Title and signed our house away. Those closing costs... WOW! We are up to 10,000 dollars this year in closing costs. Geez. After closing we headed to pack. We walked into the mad house of my Mom (who had a colonoscopy done that morning) and Stacia tearing apart the kitchen. We got a lot done, and then called it a night. Poor Brilee struggled with the packing. She didn't like her house been packed into boxes. She cried when we boxed her toys and books up, bawled when we took her bed down, and hated seeing her shoes being taken out of her dresser. She is such a good girl though. Even with all the stress in her little life she just keeps going. She keeps us all laughing and smiling. Saturday we just had a fun day. Stacia, Michael, Jenny, Julie, and I all ran in the Roosevelt 5K. It was fun! Then we spent the afternoon waiting for our Bountiful Basket, and the evening hanging out with Stacia and Michael. Sunday we jumped back into packing full swing! I am SOOOOOOOOO grateful for Julie, Jenny, Elly, Jens, and Kevin. They helped us more than I can even describe. Not only did they help move everything, they helped make it fun. Monday Jake and I had to be to work for the all employee's meeting about the shut down, but as soon the meeting was over we left to finish packing. My Mom and Brilee met us there, and we all worked like crazy. We were officially moved out Monday night at 11:00 p.m. We love you so much Mom, thank you for all your help. Jake and I both felt sad leaving the house, but it was fun to see how excited the new owners are for it. The camper is small and cozy, but will make a nice little home for the time being. Our first night in the camper was fine. It was so late, and we were all exhausted. The furnace ran all night, and we all slept good. Tuesday night when Jake and I were putting Bri to bed she had a melt down. She was bawling and saying, "I want go home. I want bed at home. I not sleep in camper. NOOOOOOO home." Jake got her calm downed (I was a mess... I felt so bad.), and she did better last night. She still asked to go home, but there were no tears. She will figure this out, and August 1st (our next moving day) will be here before we know it!!!!!!
