.5

Bronson man is half a year old! He is a different baby than he used to be. He is actually a happy/easy baby lately. It is amazing. He is sleeping on a predictable schedule, and eating on a more conducive schedule to our life. I am so proud of him. This month he has become an official sitter. He sits for long periods of times, and when he's over it he simply bends in half and plops on his tummy. He now rolls all over, and is enjoying his mobility. He is eating tons of baby food, and doesn't seem to have any problems with it. He loves the big bath tub (just like his sister did). The most adorable thing this month has been his notice of people who are close to him. It started with me, and he would literally fall out of the arms of whoever had him to get to me. I loved it. He started reaching, and always will reach for his Papa and Mama. He is also figuring out the waving thing. I dont think he gets it, but he knows we react when he does it: His favorite person right now is Brilee. #meltsmyheart beyond belief. He loves everything about her, and cannot get enough of her. I showed him her picture Sunday (she was at grammy's) and the boys whole face lit up. He was smiley and giggly. I had jake do it a couple hours later and got the same reaction. It's amazing seeing this relationship build even though they are just babies. Bronson weighed 20.8 lbs, was 28" tall, and still has a nice sized melon at his well child check. He also was diagnosed with his first ear infection... BOO!!!! He never seemed to sick though so that was nice. Bronson Jake Birchell, keep up the good work baby boy!!!!

First Haircut!

Little B Man got his first haircut yesterday. Angie said it would be a good idea to "even" things out on his cute little big head. He had a lot of baby hair in the back, a big bald spot right in the center of his head, six VERY long hairs on top, and bald everywhere else. Bronson just sat there and could have cared less Angie was shaving him. He rather enjoyed it cause he got to chew on the apron. Now his hair is all even, and he is as cute as ever.

Recovery with Instagram

Here is our week of Bear's recovery according to instagram. As you will see we have had lots of highs and lows. We have rested, read, watched tv, watched movies, ate cold food, cried, laughed, and held our head high knowing this will all be over soon. Brilee is amazing and handling it all so well. Bronson must know something is going on, because it's like he just knows he has to be good. We love these babies!!! (Even when ones breath literally will knock you over. I had Brilee blow in Jake's face to be funny, and he almost couldn't handle himself. Funniest thing ever!) Bri and I sit and snuggle a lot. With that we talk all the time. She asks me everyday, "Do you like cats?" I always say no. She always follows with, "Not even baby ones?" I say no. She gets all disgusted. She then proceeds to tell me, "My grammy likes baby ones. But not you and Stacia." She really doesn't get our hate for cats, but maybe one day she will. She has the kindest heart towards any animal. The hardest part about this whole thing has been missing preschool. She has done her letter "S" homework about ten thousand times, and she sings her days of the week and month ALL DAY LONG. We think she will be back to school by Friday. We can do it!

Day 1 and 2 of tonsillectomy

Yesterday was Bri's T&A (tonsil and adenoids) procedure. We got there at 7:30 in the morning, and the waiting game began. We were scheduled to go second, but due to a brother/sister combo we got bumped to fourth. Blah! They came and got her at 9:30, and Dr. Catton was back to us by 10:15. He said she had done great, and was glad we had this taken care of it. Bri came to us crying. I climbed in bed with her and she went right to sleep. We let her sleep along time. Her oxygen was in the high 80's so they gave her a little flow. She finally woke up all they way and we were able to leave. She was kinda lethargic yesterday, but did very well. She is only taking Tylenol and is handling it well. She did a lot of resting and movie watching. We forced the drinks on her all afternoon/evening. Stac brought her a fun care package, and she was super happy about that. She gave her Spirit, and we watched it twice last night. Julie brought her over some gogurts, granny and grandpa came and visited, and the Laws brought her a milk shake. About 9:45 she went to sleep. She was out! I woke her up every four hours to stay on top of her medicine. She woke up with a dry throat, but after a drink or two she was good to go. Today has been a good day, and she thinks she can do more than what I want her to. She hasn't wanted to drink, but we make her. Jos and the girls brought her a sweet care package, and entertained her for a little while. She gets tired fast, but she still is a little go-er. She's eating popsicles, soup, cottage cheese, and ice cream. She drinks apple juice and Gatorade. She fell asleep tonight, but just woke up crying that she hurt. Right now she is in my lap snoring away, and she has some nasty smelling breath. Hopefully that goes away ASAP! I am so proud of her for how she is dealing with this. We love her and can't wait until she is back to herself!!!! (I can't add pictures for some reason... But I will soon.)
