Women of Steel

Last winter Tessa found a race and said we should get a group of sisters and do it. It sounded fun enough, and far enough away that I agreed to it. I asked stac and she felt the same way. Our team was set! Bullock sisters, zufelt sisters, and Dickson sisters. We were excited. As it got close we got nervous. I kinda started to dread it because I wasn't sure I was ready. The race is 54 miles through Midway and Heber. Each runner ran three miles three times. Well, just like with anything else, race day was upon us! We all pulled our campers to Midway, and had a good evening. We woke up early and began the race. It was amazing. It was so much fun, and seriously such a challenge! Each of us felt so accomplished at the end of the race. I was so proud of us all. Tessa was incredible, and such a motivator. Amy was super competitive and ran so fast!!! Erin did some of the most challenging runs ever imagined! Josie was an animal. She is amazing, and pushes herself harder than anyone I know. Stacia was awesome, and one tough chick! Her poor knee at the end of her very hard run was hurting her bad! But, she finished strong! I was so proud of her, and so happy we did this together. Something we will never forget. I can't wait to do this next year with this awesome/fun group of girls! Today I am moving a little gingerly, but I am so happy and grateful to have been able to have this experience. Big shout out to all the awesome dads who supported us, and provided the kids with such a fun day too. Jake was so good to chase us down and let me feed Bronson, and then go our separate ways again. I only have our before pictures, but Tessa took lots so I will post more when I get them. (our green shirts may not have been flattering, but they were awesome in helping us see our runner coming!!)

Sissy Bop

Our little girl is back in line for tonsil and adenoid removal. We took her in to see Brad, and he had Dr. Staker check her out. They both agreed her tonsils were "enormous", and needed out. I got her in with the ear, nose, throat doctor that afternoon and he said "I was ready to do it last April" so it's scheduled for Monday. I hate the thought of it, but my little girl needs it done. So, Monday it is. I can't wait for Tuesday.

5 Month Old

We now have a five month old in the house. A mighty cute one at that! Things I never want to forget about Bronson at 5 months!
*His HUGE toothless grin... I.LOVE.IT.
* His adorable giggle.I love when he randomly does it too. I had Bri at the doctors office yesterday, and as the doctor was talking to me Bronson just started cracking up at him. It was hillarious.
*His love for apple sauce (the only food he's tasted other than cereal... which he won't eat now!)
*How excited he gets to see his Mommy.
*How his Daddy get him to sleep every night by being an auctioneer. The boy has always liked weird noises.
*His love for his older sister.
*He loves toys. Like seriously, he loves them. He sees a toy and has to have it.
*He is wanting to sit up, and is getting pretty good at it.
*Today his sister was eating a sucker and Bronson wanted it. He started doing a little worm action to get to her. He only did it like once or twice, but I am preparing myself for a mobile baby in the near future.
*He can still cry... But he doesn't do it NEARLY as much.

Bronson... WE LOVE YOU FOREVER, and ever and ever.

Blue Bell

I am obsessed with the Blue Bell corn maze. It is so much fun. They put so much work into it, and it is a great way to spend your afternoon! Jake had to work so he missed out on the fun again (Last year we were on Diamond, and jake made me miss it. I have been kind of mad all year about it too.). I was a little paranoid of losing bri in there, but luckily her aunt stacia bought some pop corn so she glued herself to stac. Bronson enjoyed the first lap, but wasn't fond of the idea of a second. It was good cause Bri was finished too. We went back out, Bri played in the corn and Bronskey ate. After everyone made it out we hopped on the tractor and went to the pumpkin patch. Brilee picked herself out a "big" pumpkin, and Bronson a baby one. Super cute! I asked Donny to find a pumpkin big enough to put Bronson in, and I think he found the perfect one! It was such a fun evening! Here are some pics of our fun night, and some random photos from instagram!

5K

I have started doing some running again. I am trying to get in shape for a relay I am doing in a couple of weeks. For me the best motivation for exercise/running is signing up for races. My first 5K post Bronson was the night run on August 15. It was a good confidence builder to know I still could do it. I was super slow, but surprisingly, still very happy with myself. As soon as I had finished that one I knew I was ready to do another. I signed up for the Josh Graham race, and loved knowing I was supporting a wonderful cause. The race was last Saturday. It was a great race. Lots of fun people running and watching. They had motivational quotes all along the course, and they really helped keep me going! I was able to cut 4 minutes off my previous time, and hope to cut another 4 off soon! I had a blast, and can't wait for the next one. It's nice having friends with similar interests, and hopefully next year I can finish with them!

Preschool

Brilee went to her first day of preschool today. We woke her up, made her a yummy breakfast, got her all ready, took lots of pictures, and dropped her off at school. If she was nervous she sure didn't show it. Bri jumped out of the car, grabbed her teachers hand, and never looked back. When I picked her up she had the biggest smile on her face. She got in the car and told me all about her day. Then she got cranky and had to take a nap. Little Bear is growing up TOO fast!!

Busiest Day Ever!

Today was a crazy day, and after a crazy weekend to boot. We had an all employees meeting to start our day off. Then Brilee had her first ballet class! She was adorable! Miss Taunia was amazing, and Brilee left there extremely happy and pleased with herself. She is really going to enjoy dance, and we are going to love watching her. After dance Bronson and I headed back over to Roosevelt for his four month well child check. He is doing really well, and growing like a weed. He is 18 lbs, 25.5 inches, and has a real big head (can't remember how big). He's perfect, and brings true happiness to our life. He melts my heart! After the appointment we had to go back to Vernal. Right after work we took Brilee to her "Back to School Night". I cannot believe my little baby girl is going to preschool! She is super excited about it, and could not stop talking about her homework and teachers. It is going to be a really neat experience for her. After back to school we headed to swim lessons. Her teacher from last session tested her and said," you are moving up to the next level!" She did great, and Jake and I loved visiting with the Nybergs during lessons. It was some of our best lessons yet! :) After lessons we headed to Granny's to help can the peaches! Love this time of year...

Yellow Pine

We had a wonderful time camping this weekend. Good food, company, and campground! Brilee had the time of her life, and spent 2/3 of her time riding her bike. She loved it. So glad we went! It was beautiful. I loved the rain, thunder, and hail storms. Perfect time to snuggle the kids in the camper.
