Time Flies!

We have had a busy week, and I haven't taken any pictures. I usually try to always have my camera, but I slacked off last week. Brilee got another ear infection last Thursday (surprise!!!) and so we had a sick baby most of the weekend. The doctor gave her a medicine that didn't agree with her little tummy, and finally I decided when the medicine causes more pain than the ear infection we need a change! She is finally better and happy!!!! Del came home this weekend, and we had a blast with him! Brilee sure likes her Uncle Del. Del, my Dad, and I did the bike course for the dinoland triathlon. We are so excited! Sunday Del and my Dad rode their bikes to the cabin! I thought they were a bit crazy. We enjoyed our time with them and were sad the weekend went so fast.
Jake and I took Brilee to Cal Ranch today to buy chicken feed. She found a hat, and would not put it down! We had to buy for it for her, and she is so proud of the thing. Jake says he doesn't know if he will be ever to tell her "no". She makes one little whimper and he is giving her whatever she wants!
These two little girls are TrOuBlE!
Chazzy got a little jealous of Brilee's awesome hat!
Lucky us, we are having drain problems. Tomorrow we will have our septic tank cleaned (sounds better than sucked) and then soon we will have to put in new drain fields. UGH!!!
Brilee having some fun with her barn!
Whazzer has been to our house two nights in a row, and both nights she runs in and grabs Brilee's vacuum. For some reason Brilee is very possessive of her vacuum. As soon as Chazlynn picks it up Brilee is running saying "NONONONONONONONONO". Chaz is always good and says "Here go." Brilee responds with "Thank you." They were making Jake and I laugh so hard! Whenever I vacuum Brilee has to follow me around and help me vacuum with hers. It is sweet.
Anyone who has kids 1-5 yrs. old I would recommend this little barn. Brilee and all my nieces and nephews love it! They play for hours with it.
Chazzy thought she would help Brilee with her hat again.

Brilee is now fifteen months old! BriBear has now switched from baby to toddler. I think she made the transition over night. At fifteen months Brilee is: walking, climbing, trying to run, shakes her head no no, points, colors, gives kisses, loves books, is crazy about all animals (except for Macy's dog... it scared her), and many other fun things. Brilee can say: what's that, whose that, thank you, nonononononono, HIIIIIIIIII, bye bye, uh-oh, ew (when I change her diaper haha), hot, BriBear, dog, Daddy, dada, mama, pa, kitty, dog, ball, baba, az (I am pretty sure she means chaz), and WOW! We are so in love with our little tornado (you should see the damage this baby can do to a house)!!!

Chore Girly!

Brilee decided she would help her Daddy with chores this evening. She packed this bucket around for the longest time!
What a good helper!
Jake picked up some kittens at the Sale's Barn Saturday. Brilee loves them, and they feel the opposite about her.
The only time she can catch them is when she sneaks up on them when they are eating. They don't put up with her for long.
Especially when she tries to ride them... WHOSE DAUGHTER IS SHE?

Favorite Book

Jake found a book that he remembered liking as a child, and so he bought it for Brilee. So far it has been read about 200 times at our house!
Today while I was vacuuming Brilee kept chasing me around the house with the book in her hand.
Finally, I decided I would give in to her persistence!
But, then she decided she would rather read it on her own.
Jake always makes all the animal noises and she gets a huge kick out of it!
We went on another bike ride today, and poor little Annalee crashed!
But, she managed a smile with the other two. Today was Elly's eighth birthday! Happy Birthday Elly Belly!
Brilee rode down to the park with Marley, and home with Chazzy. She pulled both of their hair the whole way.

Prevention Convention!

I had my annual Prevention Conference this week in SLC. It was a great conference, and I learned a lot from it. I had been dreading going because it meant leaving Brilee for FOUR nights, and I didn't think I could do it! I finally talked Jake into planning a visit, and so I started feeling better about the week. I left Monday afternoon, and after driving in an awful rainstorm I finally arrived at the downtown Raddison. It was a beautiful hotel, and in a great location. I was in meetings all day Tuesday. When I finished I was able to go and visit Grandma and Grandpa. It was great catching up with them. Then I got to go hang out with my BF Carly! It was a fun night. Wednesday I went to the conference and then went back to Grandma and Grandpa's. I spent the afternoon with them, and then went back to my hotel to get ready for Jake and Brilee. I was so excited! I met them outside, and Brilee made me feel SO good! She saw me from the car and started squealing and screaming for me. After they got their we decided to walk to Olive Garden for dinner. Brilee was crazy! She was so happy and hyper that she was making a scene in the restaurant. Luckily, it was cute and so people laughed and played with her. After dinner we went swimming. It was great! Brilee got her second wind in the pool and ended up staying up WAY to late! She slept good throughout the night and woke up happy. Jake and Brilee went shopping while I was at my conference. At noon I decided I had had enough! So we went to Training Table, and then met Grandma and Grandpa at the zoo. It was the PERFECT day to go to the zoo! We had soooooooooo much fun! I don't know if I have ever seen Brilee so happy. She was in her element for sure! She ran around looking at everything. She wanted to hold the monkeys, fell in love with the giraffe's, loved the train, and had the time of her life on the carousel. Brilee was such a wild animal at the zoo that I am kind of surprised the zoo keeper didn't offer to buy her! I was so proud of Grandma... six weeks after she had her knee replaced she was tromping around the zoo. Thank you so much for the perfect day Grandma and Grandpa!
Jake and Brilee walking to dinner. (We forgot the stroller)
Heading to the pool!
She walked right over and wanted to jump in, but then she got scared.
Getting used to the water.
Once she got used to her tube, she had a blast!
Relaxing!
It was cold.
Grandma, Brilee, and me heading into the Hogle Zoo.
We spent ten bucks on the this hat in hopes she wouldn't get sun burnt. She wore it long enough to get her picture taken and then would have NOTHING to do with it!
She thought this Gorilla was her own personal couch at the zoo.
Grandpa spent his afternoon chasing Brilee and helping her up every time she would fall (which is still a lot)!
She kept going over to have Grandma hold her, and then she would want down two seconds later. She just had to much going on!
She loved Grandma's sun visor!
Too fun!
Look at that smile! Every time she passed us she would be squealing and giggling.
I think she thought it was real at first.
Show Off!
Brilee on the train.
She kept giving Grandma big hugs on the train ride.
After the train ride.
Brilee three minutes after leaving the zoo. She slept the WHOLE way home!

Triathlon

I have been preparing for the Ice Breaker Triathlon for three months. I kept counting down the months, followed by weeks, and then concluding with the countdown of the days. This morning I woke up with anxious butterflies and could not wait for the whole thing to be over. Jake, Brilee, and I headed to Vernal at our normal time. Jake dropped me off at the Rec. Center so I could register and get prepared. I was racer number 10. I have always loved the number 10! Finally it was time to start. The swim was done like a snake. We swam up the lane, then under the lane line, then up, down, and under the following lanes. It was harder than I expected. Each swimmer had a thirty second head start on the person behind them. When it was finally my turn to swim I went crazy! I went WAY to fast the first two laps, but then found a good pace. I was able to pass three people in the swim. I hurried out of the pool and made a fast transition. I was on my bike before I could catch my breath. The bike was hard, but way fun! I finished the bike and could no longer feel my legs... how can one run when there legs are jello feeling? I have no answers, but somehow I pulled it off! I was so happy my last mile of the race. I felt proud of my hard work. Thanks for all the support I have had from my friends and family!
Right before I jumped in the pool.
Waiting for the word GO!
GO!
haha! What a nice picture of me.
