Bike Trailer

We have had a busy week! (Sorry to my Grandma's and other blog readers for my posting absence... but I am back!) I went to SLC this week for a meeting, Brilee and Jake stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Dickson. They had a lot of fun, but I missed them a lot! Brilee is getting the whole walking thing down! On Friday I finally got my bike trailer, and Brilee and I have had so much fun with it all weekend! Friday we put her in it to go for a short ride. We bundled her with a hoodie, coat, and blankets. She did pretty good the first couple of minutes and then started getting whiney. Finally we stopped to get her out, and the poor girl was a firecracker! Saturday Brilee and I picked Cy up and we went for a long ride! It was exhausting, but the babies sure had fun. We were attacked by a dog and both babies in their distinct voices started shouting "DOG DOG DOG"! This morning Brilee and I went for another long ride. I have learned some tricks to make Brilee happy in the trailer: 1. Give her a cookie 2. Have a cold sippy cup 3. Keep her cool 4. Have 10-15 binkies in her reach. This afternoon Elly, Chloey, Annalee, Brilee, and I decided to try a LONG ride and go to the park. The girls shocked me and all three of them did really well. Granny even came to the park to give them a ride home, and the tough girls all agreed they would rather ride home. Little Chloey was a trooper! There was no whining, and everyone had a good time! I can't wait to go on long bike rides all summer with the girls!
Brilee loves her books! She was in her room playing so cute, and so I went to clean my living room. When I came back she was pulling all her books off the shelf!
The Laws' bought calves at the sales barn on Saturday. Brilee thinks they are the coolest little things!
This calf was trying to eat Brilee's fingers.
They have to feed them two bottles a day.
Look how happy Brilee is!
Starting our LONG bike ride! (Six miles!!!)
The girls cruising up the road.
So proud we actually made it to the park!
We brought cookies and water for our little picnic. Brilee thought she was big stuff!
Playing with Leeber girl on the slide.
She was mesmerized with the wood chips.
We had a blast on the ride and at the park.
Brilee fell asleep on the way home! She wore herself out.

The girls after the bike ride! They were pretty tired... I think they will all sleep good tonight!
Apparently Star Princess had an exhausting day too!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today was such a beautiful day. It was our first day of spring weather here. I was able to run outside without burning my lungs, the kids all got to play without coats on, and the babies got to swing. Everyone was so happy! Everyone but Jaylie had green on, so not to many pinches were given! (Except for I didn't think Stacia, Michael, or Jake had on green and they all did... so I got thirty pinches.) Last year on St. Patty's Brilee got her first ear infections... this year she is on the mend from the worst ear infections she has ever had. Crazy!
This picture wasn't today, but I think it's super cute!
They were LOVING life! They stayed entertained for the longest time.
She was so happy to finally just be outside.
Such a cutie!
The boys doing what they do best... playing in the mud.
Brilee was jealous that Chazlynn was playing with Cy and not her. She wouldn't even look at them!
She was still a little pouty when Chazzy came to play with her.
But, she shook it off fast!
The girls were having a "super model" show.?.?.?
Chazlynn is a character!
I LOVE SPRING!!!!!!

Happy 21st Stacia!

We spent the weekend in SLC celebrating Stacia's birthday with her. We had such a great time! Jake and I were up all Thursday night with Brilee who was sicker than I had ever seen her. She would curl up into a ball and cry and cry. It was awful! She had high fevers and nothing would take them away. First thing Friday morning Jake and I had her back at the hospital. We didn't even wait for the clinic to open. We ran into the doctor outside told him she was worse than she was on Wednesday and so he told us to come right in. As he was looking at her he noticed her left ear was draining TONS of nasty stuff. So he said it was infected. There was to much gunk in her ear that he couldn't see the tube or anything! The other ear he thought looked okay... as he pulled out his tool he suctioned all the nasty stuff out of that ear. So both ears were bad. Where she would curl into a ball and act like she was in pain he assumed she had a bladder infection on top of RSV, double ear infections, and Roseola. POOR BABY! He prescribed her antibiotics and advised us to let Dr. Catten check her out. We immediately headed to Vernal to see him. He got us right in and agreed the ears were bad! He is having us do ear drops for three weeks, take a week off of them, and then see him on the fourth week. He explained her ears make it so she always has "true" ear infections. Her ear infections are always inner ear infections. They are harder to catch (until it gets to bad), harder to deal with, and harder to heal from. He called her his "over achiever" patient. After the appointment I went to Wal-Mart to have her prescriptions filled. I had to wait for an hour and a half! It was torture. Finally, they gave me her medicine and I went to meet Jake and Brilee at my Mom's. We wanted to get the medicine in her ASAP! I went to open the medicine and noticed it was all powder. I called the pharmacist and he said to come back. UGH!!!! I went back and had to wait another hour to get the medicine mixed. I was beyond frustrated! Jake and I decided we shouldn't go to SLC because of how sick Brilee was. About an hour after she had her medicine she started acting good (not normal but better.) She then took a two and a half hour nap and woke up happy. So we changed our minds. It helped that my Mom volunteered to be the one to get up with Brilee during the night. We got to SLC at about 8:30 that night and the fun began! Brilee went to bed and so Del, Stac, Michael, Jake, and I went to buy ski pants. It was fun hanging out with them! The next morning they all went skiing and Brilee, my Mom, and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Cooley's. We spent our day their playing with Brilee (who was feeling MUCH better). I got to go do a little shopping with Carly, and it was so nice to see her! I love shopping with her. When they were finished skiing we met up with everyone one at happy hour at Embassy Suites where we planned dinner. We decided on the Red Rock restaurant downtown. We had a hard time finding parking and by the time we did we were all stressed! Cathy and Roger met us there, and luckily we only had to wait 45 minutes for our table. Brilee fell asleep on my shoulder, and I felt so bad having her out so late. After dinner we went back to the hotel, put Brilee to sleep, and then went swimming. It was awesome! Jake and Micheal were thirsty after swimming so they ran across the street bare foot to buy some water. When they got to the gas station there was a sign on the door saying "Be Back in 5 Minutes." They stood there freezing! Crazy boys! It was such a great weekend. Thanks for everything! Happy 21st Stac!!!!!!
Brilee took a couple of good naps at Grandma and Grandpa Cooley's. This is her first nap of the day!
Poor Cali got ran over last week and it messed up her hips. She hung out in her kennel all weekend. By the end of the weekend she was doing pretty good!
Grandma is doing so AWESOME with her recovery! We are so proud of her.
Brilee took her second nap on a bed. She slept good!
Brilee loves Cali!
Group shot.
We dipped strawberries, and Brilee thought they were the best things ever.
YUM YUM!
Pretty girl
Then she got a bath.
Sleepy heads! (Brilee, Jake, and I spent a lot of the weekend catching up on all the lost sleep from the week before.)

Hard Weekend

Brilee has had a rough weekend! She started Friday with low grade fevers, but by night time they were high fevers and have stayed high. She has had the fevers and a nasty cough all weekend. Poor girl! On top of being sick she tried to take off running and fell into the corner of our entertainment center. She broke her Grandma and my heart! She also fell off the bed Friday night when I was making her bottle... scared her Daddy to death!!!! On a positive note, she got a pair of shoes from Marley and they have made her so happy! I never remember to put shoes on her, but ever since she got these shoes she has not let us forget her shoes! She loves them. I have to hide them from her when she goes down for her naps. As soon as she finds them she grabs them and crawls over to Jake or me and sticks out her foot for us to put them on her. When they are on she will try and try to walk. She gets so frustrated every time she falls, and lets everyone hear her frustration.
Her battle wound! It was/is so sad!
She loves them!
I thought I did a good job hiding them, but I was wrong!
At least she tries to help put them on...

And We're OFF!

Our family has been running like crazy the past week. Jake started riding 7G last week. He has been really impressed with him. He is excited to see how he turns out. Jake also bought a swather this week. Now, if we could just get rid of the snow and start cutting hay life would be awesome! The dreaded March 1st showed up far too quickly! I went back to work... Troy told me that Brilee was still welcome at the BLM. Jake and I talked a lot about this and decided that it would be best to have Brilee close to the BLM, but not at the BLM. Luckily, we found an AWESOME baby-sitter close to the BLM. Brilee has fun playing with Sham, Kamdyn, and Parker all day, and I feel good knowing she is happy and that I can pick her up early most days! I kept forgetting to buy batteries this week, and so I don't have any pictures of our big events. So, here are some random pictures...
Brilee now climbs into her stroller instead of pushing it!
What a monkey!

She has now figured out how to get on and off of her horse. She sometimes needs a little boost to get on!
What a cute fish face.
