Good Day

Today was such a good day. We woke up super early (that wasn't that fun), but had plenty of time to get ready for work (normally we are super rushed). Jake changed the wheel lines, and we took off for Vernal. We spent some time at work, then I took a couple of hours of credit leave to go watch the stock show. Poor Jake had to do a plugging on a well so he missed out. Megan and Chloey were showing their pigs (Elly's didn't make weight). Bri, Bronson, Stac, and Grammy all came to support the kids too. Chloey did great, and ended up sixth in her class. Megan won the class. We were so excited. She had a second pig too, and it won its class as well. GOOD WORK MEG! Since she had two pigs in the finals Elly got to show one of them. We were so excited to watch her too. Meg ended up seventh overall. It was a good day for her! The kids loved the fair, but they both had some pretty bad injuries. Bronson got folded up in a little doll stroller and he cried for a long time. Brilee tripped and landed flat on her face. I thought she broke her legs cause she was weak in the knees when she tried to stand after. We decided she must have just knocked the wind out of her. They are both fine now. Hopefully tomorrow they have a better track record. After the fair I went back to work, and the kids went back to Grammy's. I picked them up and we headed home. As we drove by the Laws' they were getting ready to jump on the tramp with the sprinkler underneath. Bri freaked out when I told her to get her swimsuit and she could go play. She had the time of her life. She would just stand there and let everyone spray her with the cold hose water. Nothing seems to phase her. Where as Bronson took one little spray to the legs from Haddy and he cried and said repeatedly, "NO NO NO". I finally made Bri quit, brought her home, and put both the kids in a warm bath. Bri was still cold after so she sat in front of a heater. I asked if she wanted to go back and play in the hose again, and without missing a beat she said, "Yes. But this time I want to wear my zebra swimsuit." So, it was all worth it!
