First Crop

Today Jake cut our hay for the first time this year. Some parts of the field look pretty sparse, but other parts look amazing. Jake thinks it is the best first crop he has cut for awhile. We sprayed for bugs and it seemed to help. He cut it today, and tomorrow we are supposed to have crazy hot dry winds!!! It'll be great to start the drying process. He's hoping to rake it in the next couple of days, and then bail it right after that. We are hoping to be able to have a couple more weeks before they shut off the water so we can get a second cut too. It's hard having hay fields when there is no water. We spend a lot of time worrying about it, but it'll all be good.

Here is a little video to show you what Bronson does every evening until dark... He loves being outside!!!!
