Memorial Weekend

Our Memorial Day Weekend has been pretty traditional. On Saturday we all met to put together the flower arrangements for the graves, went to dinner, and went to Wal-Mart... of course! Sunday around three everyone (except for Brilee and I, she didn't want to wake up from her nap) headed to the LaPoint Cemetery. Afterwards, everyone met at Granny's house for the BIG BBQ she hosts every year! It was a good time, even if the weather wanted to make it difficult. After we ate we headed down to the Roosevelt Cemetery. We all froze there, and so we made it short and sweet. Brilee and I started feeling sick so we went right to bed. I woke up super sick around mid night, and just laid there telling myself I was fine. Brilee woke up at 1:15 and the puking began. That poor baby girl puked until she could puke no more. She hadn't eaten anything Sunday, and so it was really awful. We stripped the bed, and threw the nasty pillows outside. Then we slept for a couple more hours when the puking started again. UGH!!!! So we stripped the couch bed and snuggled under our last clean blanket (did I mention it was FREEZING!!!!) for another hour or so. I told Brilee that I wished her Daddy was home, and she said, "Let's go get him." haha I was sure she was done puking and we could finish out the night, but then it happened again. So we took apart the table bed, we loaded up, and went and slept in Grandpa's chair. I heard him say as he was waking up, "Oh dear... they must have had a rough night." We woke up, and I tried to get her to drink some water. She only wanted OJ so I gave in, and that was a mistake! For the rest of today she is only eating saltine crackers and Sprite. The fun never ends! We are THRILLED Jake will be home Thursday night!!!!

We found Brilee's cat's kittens! She is in love... with one particular one. We are in a bad way though. Two of Granny's cats had kittens, Brilee's grey cat had kittens, her white cat will be having kittens any day, and Jaylie's cat had babies. We will probably have around thirty kitties... So Brilee will be sitting at the sales barn in a few short weeks handing out cats if you need one (or ten)!

While Jake's Away

Jake headed to Texas a week and half ago to try his life as a fire fighter again. He got called asking if there was anyway possible he could go to TX on Sunday, got approved through his boss on Tuesday, and left early Wednesday morning. Brilee and I miss him like crazy, and so we are trying to stay busy to help the time pass quickly. Since he has been gone we have: enjoyed many sleep-overs at Grammy's, went to SLC to hang out with GMA and GPA Cooley, went to Lagoon (me), been to some movies, enjoyed Brilee's first date, and talked a lot about DADDY! Brilee knows Daddy is on a fire in Texas. She tells anyone and everyone that. Anytime the word fire is mentioned she is yelling "MY DADDY ON FIRE." I thought I would share pictures of Brilee's trip to the movies with her CUTE friend Caleb! We consider it their first date, and wouldn't you know, Brilee kissed him goodnight. haha (but she really did...)

Kevin Michaelson had a friend at work who had this tractor. He didn't want it anymore, and so we were more than happy to take it off his hands!

Angie spoils us! She is always up to date on the newest trends, and willing to experiment on us. Brilee is probably the only 2 year old with feathers in her hair, and glitter gel nails on her toes. She is so lucky. Thursday Angie pulled into the driveway, and Brilee started squealing! She ran to Angie, and then headed into the house. She pulled out the nail chair, climbed up, and was ready to go. I really didn't think she would sit still long enough to put the glitter toes on, but she did! She didn't move the whole time. She LOVED every minute of it. 

Much to Marley's surprise, Brilee chose green toes. She stuck to it too! Marley was really wanting her to get pink so they could be twiners, but Brilee wanted GREEN!!!!

2011 Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day! We sure did... I woke up to Brilee yelling "Happy Mother's Day." Jake then took her to do chores so I could sleep in, and boy was it nice! We then headed to the cabin for a hot dog roast. It was so much fun, and so relaxing. I am so glad everyone was able to make it! 









Happy Mother's Day Mom! We love you, and are so grateful for you!

Crazy Thursday!

Thursday is always a crazy day for us! Last Thursday I did three Smokey Bear programs, took Brilee to the park, took the Roger family dinner, played in the CHAMPIONSHIP game of the 3 on 3 girls basketball league, and went running TWICE! It was a fulfilled day.

We had the best trip to California! I know, when have we not! I swear it gets better every time we go. It was awesome to just relax and hang out. We love you guys and dogs!

Brilee ready for take off! She looks scared, but she really loved to fly. "HIGH HIGH UP IN THE SKY..." was her phrase for the flight! On the way down she fell asleep right at take off, but on the way home she stayed awake until landing...

I had an allergic reaction to my massacre the day before the trip. It was AWFUL! I looked crazy. Everyone thought I had been crying for hours, and so they treated me real nice. I got moved to the front of the security line, people carried my luggage, and nobody seemed to mind when I smack into them while chasing Brilee. I think I found a new way to travel!
