Cavities

Today was the much dreaded cavity filling appointment. I was nervous, and Brilee was not happy about going back so soon. I started prepping her for the app. yesterday, and she kept telling me "No, I go tomorrow..." Well she was right. She wasn't allowed to eat or drink after 7:30 this morning, and so we woke her up early and fed her a good breakfast. When I picked her up at 12:30 she was ready for lunch and a nap. She told me on the way home, "Grammy not give me lunch. Whycause?" (Whycause instead of because... so cute!) Luckily, she fell asleep in LaPoint. We woke her up at the dentist, and she was not thrilled. The nice receptionist let her pick a prize while we talked to the anesthesiologist. She explained we wouldn't be doing the I.V. and instead just a dart. She hoped that it would take under twenty minutes. She warned that it would be hard to see Brilee, but worth it for me to hold her. She said she would be "stoned" for a short time period. We then headed back to the room where she gave Brilee the shot. Bear screamed, picked another prize, and then got loopy. It didn't take long, and she was out! It was scary. She would get stiff, relax, stiff, etc... They told us to leave, and they would come get us when she was waking up. About 15 minutes later Dr. Robinson came and said she had a cavity on both sides, but she did great. We then got to go be with her. She was totally fine, but still sleeping. She slept for a long time. When she finally started coming to she was so funny. They told me she would be mean, but she wasn't! She kept saying, "I Brrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiillllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeee." Then she started puking. They gave her some medicine and said as long as she could keep it down ten minutes we could leave. She did, and we left! She came home and was still out of it. She couldn't walk for a long time. She and Jake snuggled in the camper for a couple hours, and then she was ready to play! She played most of the evening. She got really red about 7, and I blamed it on the heat. Chazzy cooled her off and she went back to normal. She went to sleep and around 10 I noticed she had a little rash, and she was red again. I called Andre and she said she was probably just getting all the nasty stuff out of her system. I cooled her down again, and she is back to normal! Thank goodness, because tomorrow Brilee heads to California for 6 days with her Grammy and Poppa! Jake and I don't know what we will do without our little cub. She is super excited to go (why wouldn't she be?)! I asked her the other day if she was driving to California and she said, "No. I to little. Grammy drive." haha! Watch out California!
Still out of it.
Resting it off...
AWWWWW back to her normal kitty torturing ways. The lucky kitty was pushed in the stroller for about 45 minutes tonight.
We tried to cut the hay tonight, but the ground is still to wet. The swather kept getting plugged up, and so we had to quit. Tomorrow it will be perfect though! This rain has done miracles to our hay field! I have never seen it so thick and tall.

2011 Nyberg Reunion

The 2011 reunion was a big hit! We all had a great time being with the people we live with, laugh with, and love. (haha sappy sign I saw at the store today...) Jake, Bri, and I got off work, went shopping, and packed the house up. We showed up at the camp site just before dark. We set up camp and enjoyed the fire. It was nice to not have to pack anything... At bedtime Brilee didn't have to adjust to the camper at all, instead she just got in her bed and went right to sleep. She slept so good. I woke up and went for a long run, and it felt so good. After the run we ate breakfast, and went fishing. Nothing like taking 5,000 kids fishing! haha It really was fun. We spent the rest of the day napping, and relaxing. After dinner we went fishing again, and then went to sleep. Saturday we had LOTS of yummy food and had fun just hanging out. Jake's cousin Cliff came and set up a rotisserie chicken cooker thingamajigger. It was quite the process to watch. After lunch we had the raffle, and packed up camp. We all slept great last night, and have taken some good naps today! Brilee wore herself out, but had the time of her life playing with her cousins.
The kids entertained themselves on this gate for hours...

They would pull it back, and then swing across. Screaming the whole way!

Thursday Jaylie dropped a knife on her foot, but she was still able to come camping! She just had to keep her foot clean, and was supposed to take it easy. Like Leeber says, "How do you keep your foot clean in the mountains?"

1/2 of the fishing crew...

The whole crew...

Brilee and Ray Ray became best friends at the reunion. Raydon changed her name to "Care Bear." All weekend he would come say, "Kelsey, how's Care Bear?"

Wahoo Jens caught a fish.

Brilee reeling in her first fish!

What a pro!

The girls LOVED their glow sticks!

She started every morning off clean! Didn't last long...

45 chickens!

This was supposed to be nap time. No sleeping actually took place.

The raffle items. Poor kids put their tickets in the raffle and then had to eat dinner before being put out of their misery.

The jeep didn't stop moving the whole weekend...
AWWWWW BFF's!

Brilee decided to be a baby, and she climbed in this thing and took off. HAHA! She looked so funny cruising it around.

Then she tipped over...

The raffle was great! Brilee won a flash light(she really picked a gun, but Creeson talked her out of it for the flash light), and side walk chalk. Jake's ticket was the first draw in the adult raffle, and so he got to pick the prize. He was AWESOME and picked the GIANT bottle of Paul Mitchel hair spray for me. I then won a set of knifes... so it was fair!

Neola Rodeo... FOR THE WIN!

Cake Pops are our new favorite treat to make! Aren't they cute??? All pictures on this post were taken with my IPHONE. I love my phone!
Two weeks ago I went coupon shopping by myself. I bought all this stuff for 20.00!!! Yesterday I went with Josie, and it is amazing all the deals we (okay... SHE) found! It was a good day of saving moolaw!

Our weekend plans were changed, and we were really sad. We wanted everyone in the family HEALTHY, happy, and at the cabin. Unfortunately, this year that wasn't possible. (We are going to try and have a make-up reunion later though...) Jake and I decided to check out the kid rodeo in Neola since we had no plans. We got to Neola and ate a YUMMY YUMMY to your TUMMY type of dinner. Dutch oven cooken' need I say more? After dinner we signed Brilee up for the 2 year old bunny chase, and Shaunie informed me I was signed up for the "Mama Lama" chase. Brilee was up first. Jake had been prepping her all day for it. He gave her one last pep talk and turned her loose in the arena. (Not in a Hunger Games type of way...) There were so many two year olds trying to catch bunnies. Brilee didn't get the "CATCH" part, but she was all over the chase part. She ran and ran and ran. She had the time of her life. When they finally ushered all the two year olds out she decided it was time to catch the bunny. We spent the rest of our night saying, "Next year Brilee." I am really glad we didn't bring a bunny home though. My Lama chase went pretty good. I felt like I had it won when we started, but I couldn't find the ribbon to pull. Then I got kicked in the leg (not by a lama, but by a crazy mama). I kinda quit after that. All in all it was a good night. Can't wait until tomorrow to see all the FAMILY BAMILY! I hope you are feeling better Grandma and Grandpa KOOL-AID!

Brilee found a stranger dog why we were eating. The girl loves dogs!!!!

Brilee looking for a good rabbit.
Jake preparing her... He takes animal chases very serious.
One last pep talk...
And she's off!

Glad we didn't end up with this gal either.
