Part 2

The second half of our long weekend was just as fun as the first! Sunday we did a little yard work (planted trees, etc...) and then gathered our belongings for a cabin sleep over. Stac and Elly had made plans on Mothers Day for a big cousin sleep over, and we made it happen. Our original plan was for Jake to stay home with Bronson and just have a girl party, but then with Bronson teething and not feeling well I decided I didn't dare leave him. Jake was all about coming and knew that was opportunity for him to ride his colt out of the round pen. He invited Jens to come along to have someone to hang out with. It worked perfect. We headed up the mountain around five. Stac made us Papa Murphy's pizza and we had fun just hanging out, and making paper dolls. Around eight Granny and Grandpa showed up with the Vernal Birchell's. It was BreAnna's birthday and so we all jumped out and yelled "SURPRISE", followed by a loud birthday song. It was awesome and her smile is something I think I will always remember. The girls then made some awkward viking moment videos and just hung out. Around dark Jake and Jens showed back up. The girls all pranked called their families, and got a lot of laughs out of that! Then it was movie time.  Stac made SIX batches of whirly pop popcorn (they just kept coming back for more), and we watched Harry Potter. Bronson finally decided to give in and fall asleep after 10, and the little girls (plus Jens and Jaylie) were asleep closer to 11. After the movie the scary stories and giggling began. It started real loud and slowly dwindled as more of them fell asleep. Finally, at 2, Bronson started crying. I think the girls who were still awake thought they woke him up and so they got quiet fast! Bronson has just happened to wake up at that time every night for the past couple of weeks. Haha He tricked them to sleep! It was a windy night on the mountain, but we all stayed nice and warm. Everyone slept until 8, but once the first person woke it was a domino effect. Jake made us biscuits and gravy while we all got ready for the day. After breakfast we played some more (Jake and Jens went and rode horses again), cleaned the cabin, and then headed to LaPoint to visit the cemetery. We dropped all the girls off with their families who all headed to Granny's for a BBQ. Bronson and I skipped it and opted for a long afternoon nap instead. After we woke up we hung out with Jake and helped him pack for his bear hunt and sent him on his way. Brilee went and played with Rowdy, Bronson went and visited Granny, and Julie and I went on an evening run. Perfect way to end a great weekend.

Part 1

The first half of our Memorial Day weekend has been great! We got two hours of administrative leave yesterday, and so we were able to come home and do yard work while the kids were still happy (unlike the norm, doing yard work when they are ready for bed). It made mowing the lawn so much easier. After yard work Jake change our irrigation sprinklers, Stac came over, and we headed to the carnival. It came a week earlier than normal, but that didn't slow anyone down. This morning Julie and I woke up super early to go running. We debated going 4 or 5 miles, and as soon as we got to 2 we decided to just go big. We went clear around the block and it ended up being closer to 6 miles with LOTS of hills. We were proud. We met everyone at the garden and began planting. Bronson is teething and kinda miserable, but he pulled through. We finished planting around noon. I bathed my kids, put Bronson down for a nap, and snuggled with Brilee. We all ended up sleeping 2+ hours. AWESOME!!!!! After we woke up Bri and I headed to Vernal so she could go to a bday party, and I could go make our annual Memorial Day flowers. We hit up Cafe Rio, and came back home. It's been a great couple of days, and the next two days won't disappoint either. I LOVE SUMMER!
The dragon ride was their fave!
 NO HANDS!
 I love the Parrack girls!

Little man wants to start walking... He crawls like a monkey now, and spends a lot of his day trying to figure out how to stand.

Brilee's treasure from the "Boy Party" she went to this afternoon. She was really concerned why she was going to a boy party, and not Bronson.

Twinkle Twinkle Little STAR!

Tonight was Brilee's first dance recital. She has been so excited for this day for a long time. What is better than wearing a beautiful costume, putting on make-up, curling your hair, and plastering your body with sparkles? Not much in the mind of a four year old. We showed up at the middle school right on time. I walked her back stage and heard Taunia tell all the moms the girls were good, and moms should head to the audience. I made sure one of the older girls would be Bri's designated baby-sitter before I left.  Bri was so grown-up and told me "Bye. See you when I finish." It's nice having an independent child, but I still worried about her. We headed out to our seat and waited for it to start. Bri was number ten, and by number two Bronson was getting bored. Luckily, I had twizzlers in my purse to get him through. Every time people would clap he would get all shy then proud because he thought everyone was clapping for him. It was so cute. FINALLY, Bri took the stage. I could tell she was looking for us the whole dance, but she still managed to dance. She was so cute, and had so much fun. We picked her up after, and headed to Grammy's. Elly came over and gave her a flower. She was so happy, and kept asking if Elly waited for the bee to fly off the flower before she picked it. Her reward for doing so well, Papa gave her a thumbs up, which means... SLEEP OVER! She had a wonderful night.

Bri and Scooter got to play together all day Saturday... It made her so happy!
After playing all day Saturday I got to rock her to sleep! I was so happy.
We had a horrible day at the dentist. Bri's teeth are just not good. After hearing the horror of what is to come with her teeth (caps, pulling front teeth, etc...), I was feeling sick. We were in the waiting room making our follow up appointment and Bri said, "I'm going to puke." I felt the same way, but she was serious. She started puking right then and there. I was so over the whole situation. After a couple days to think things over Jake and I have a new game plan that we both feel comfortable with. So life is better.
AND HERE IS THE STAR! Such a beautiful fun girl!
