1/2 bushel ripe tomatoes
4-6 onions
2 bunches of garlic (more/less to taste)
6 Anaheim peppers
12-18 jalapeƱos
10-12 yellow peppers (I do half banana for sweet and half Hungarian wax for hot)
4-6 green bells
Dash of cumin
1/2 cup salt
1/4-1/2 cup sugar
2 cans tomatoe paste (12 oz)
1 cup vinegar (I've been told apple cider vinegar is the best, but we've never tried it... Next time!)
Scald, peel, and dice tomatoes
Hand chop all peppers, garlic, and onions
Combine in a large pot and cook on med/low 1-3 hours
While cooking dip the excess juice off
As soon as juice is off add paste, cumin, salt, sugar, and vinegar. Continue cooking.
Cold pack & enjoy!! :)

Bronson Jake is four months old today! This month has been awesome. Bronson is finally feeling better, and becoming an easy little baby. We love him more than words can describe, and feel he is the perfect fit for our family. This was a big month for our little Bronskey (Bri comes up with some good names!). He had many firsts, including;
*First night in a hotel
*First new car
*First time swimming
*First time on an air plane
*First time at the beach
*First time away from Mom for more than 12 hours (harder on mom than him)
*First camping trip
*First time intentionally rolling back to tummy, and then today he started tummy to back
*First time eating rice cereal... loves.it.a.lot.
*First horse ride (ok... sit)
*First football game (made it to half time)
*First trip to Cabela's
*First walk up towers (probably last for awhile too)
*First time being called a "happy baby" He is now the giggliest little dude, and I am so glad!
In the next month we hope to be able to say... FIRST TIME SLEEPING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE NIGHT. He has been pretty close a time our two, but we really are ready for some consistent night sleeping. Any advice will be appreciated.

That moment when you know your picture is being interrupted...
We canned salsa this weekend (post to come) and Bronson was a gem. Mainly because his sweet cousin Chloey was there to entertain him!

Da-Fen
We had so much fun with Dathan this summer. We were sad to see him leave, but glad he was heading where he should have been (college). Brilee is obsessed with Dathan and his dirt bike. Bronson will miss his tummy rubs coming from his big cousin. He was always so helpful with the kids, and so fun to be around. We wish him the best of luck this semester, and hope he has a lot of fun as well! Come visit us! :)
Brilee- "Da-fen will you play with me?"
Dathan- "Sure" Bri hands him his barbie..."Ugh. Why do I always have to be the girl?"
haha it cracked me up!
Thanks for being such a good sport, and making Brilee so happy!

Camping
We finally went camping. Brilee was so excited! She had a blast, and can't wait to go again. Bronson enjoyed the nights, but had a rough time Friday. Granny works like crazy, and we are so grateful for her making Bri's weekend packed full of fun cousin memories.

SoCal
Our trip to California was awesome!! It was jam packed full of fun, and there was not a minute we werent busy. Just the way I like it! We got to the airport in enough time to check-in, go through security, and board the plane. Bronson was amazing on the flight! He played, and he slept. Bri was great, and Elly was so fun. We landed, got the van, and took off towards San Diego. We stopped at In-n-Out, and then found a beach. Elly, Stac, and I took off running for the water. Turns out the sand turned to pebble rocks fast, and so that hurt a bit. We made it out and started body surfing. Elly did wonderful, and caught on quickly to the waves. We buried each other in the sand, and then it was time to go. We got to Del and Ann's and visited with everyone and swam some more. Then we headed to the hotel and went right to sleep. We woke up early and headed to the zoo. We met up with Courtney and Kelly at the gate. It was a blast having all the kids together. We wore them out, and saw neat animals. Including a four day old giraffe! After the zoo we went back for some more swimming and visiting. It was so fun, and I am so grateful for Del and Ann's hospitality! Sunday was Disneyland!!! It was magical! Elly and Bri were so awesome and tough!!! I was so proud of them. We had the best day ever. SoCal is in a record breaking heat wave, and so the park was empty! The longest line was 50 minutes, and that was splash mountain in the middle of the afternoon. The parade was one of our favorites. Bri got all sorts of attention from the characters, and was loving life. Monday we did some shopping in Lake Arrowhead, ate Carmel apples, watched Shark Week, and hung out together. Elly slept in forever Monday morning, and it was lucky she did! She and Stac shared a bed and they stayed up super late talking Monday night! Tuesday we headed to Long Beach and hit up Sunset Beach (for future reference... Seal blvd. to pacific coast hwy. on 19th). It was an incredible beach. Elly was so happy to find shells, and she even found a sand dollar!!!! Thank you so much California Fam for making our trip awesome, and thank you Elly for being an awesome traveler. Elly had a list of must do's: 1. Disneyland 2. Swim in ocean 3. Zoo 4. Find sand crabs 5. Find sea shells 6. Try candy apple 7. Swim lots. I am happy to report she checked all that off her list!
