One Day at a Time

I am to the point of "one day at a time" with this pregnancy. I spent the day in OB being monitored yesterday, and somehow managed to get out of there around 7:30 last night. My blood pressures were super high (166/105), and my labs in clinic showed some things of concern. I also had weird swelling near my eyes and cheeks (I hadn't noticed, but Jake showed Doctor Nolte who agreed something was off). Nolte then checked my reflexes and they were CRAZY jumpy... which I thought was a good sign, but I guess it isn't. As soon as I got to OB the actual lab nurse came to do the blood work everything came back okay, so that was a huge relief. I just had to get my blood pressures under control. It took time, but eventually it worked. I was having contractions every 2-4 minutes, but that is nothing out of the norm for me so there wasn't much concern there. Doctor Nolte said he felt okay with me going home, but I am to be on rest (not bed rest, but rest... whatever that means). He said that if I was uncomfortable he would admit me... UGH NO THANKS!!!! Brilee is a champ, and I have so much support that this will be over before we know it! Bronson looked good yesterday, and did very well during the NST. I have certain "trigger points" (fire line safety can be related to anything) for heading straight to the hospital. I have officially gone on leave from work. We will do a lot of tv watching, resting, and Grammy time. I have to be seen every three days for a NST and lab work, and we can just be grateful for every day he stays put! Yesterday when I left clinic we were under the impression that he may be coming very soon, but luckily things got better. Now they just need to stay better for awhile!!!!

The Bunny Came!

Last night after Brilee rode Goldie, and Jake finished riding Chato we went to Ben and Andre's to check out their new trampoline. Bri loved it, and it was nice to catch up with them! It ended up being a late night, which was good because Brilee slept in! My parents and Stacia showed up this morning around 9, and the bunny had come! We were excited, and woke Brilee up. The bunny spilled all his candy around the house, which was nice because she followed the candy trail to her Easter basket. She was stoked about her basket of goodies. Then she looked outside to see all the eggs the Bunny had left. Her key phrase for the egg hunt was "WHAT???" It was so funny. After the egg hunt we ate a DELICIOUS breakfast of biscuits and gravy, deviled eggs, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Grammy and Papa then headed to the cabin. Brilee begged Stac to stay so she did. We hung out, and went to the grocery store to shop for our BBQ. The store was a mad house! Stac then left and I made Bri take a nap. When she woke up we headed to Granny's for lunch and another egg hunt. It was so much fun for the kids! They found tons of eggs, and it was a blast watching them. Brilee and Cy play so well together right now. After the egg hunt we got the candy out of the eggs, and watch The Chipmunks Shipwrecked. To cute, and lots of fun! We headed home to get ready for the Henderson's and Steffey's. Bri ran back to Granny's, and was so happy to have the Laws' home from their vacation. She had sure missed them! Jake made a yummy dinner, and we got to hang out with good friends all night. We SURE MISS THE HENDERSON FAMILY! Rumor has it they will be moving back within a couple of years. Hadlee is so grown up, but she still refers to Jake as "Funny Guy Jake Birchell". Haydn and Brilee are trouble together, but they sure had fun playing. Now it's back to work... weekends that are fun go way to fast.
This is from last weeks trip to the rec. center. Bri looked so cute in her goggles.
Egg hunt at Granny's with Leeb, Ty, Cy, and Bri :)
She improved her egg hunting a lot over the weekend!

They are both pretty photogenic..

Easter Weekend

We started celebrating Easter last Sunday. GMA, GPA, and Jackie drove up from California to spend Jackie's spring break in Utah with us! They had a pit stop in Roosevelt at our house for dinner Sunday night. We were so excited to see them (Bri talked about them coming ALL day). After some catching up, and eating they took off to Vernal. Monday morning we had Brilee's ear tube procedure done, and that went smooth. Bri handled it like a champ. The nurse said when she woke up she said, "I don't even know you." They figured she was good and brought her out to Jake and I. The next day Brilee started telling me all about the nurse carrying her down the hall, and the mean doctor making her wear a mask. After we got home from the hospital GMA, GPA, Jackie, and Stac met at our house. We hung out here, and were able to watch Brilee ride her horse and bike all afternoon. It was a great afternoon. Then I headed to my doctor appointment, and everyone else headed to Vernal. Tuesday and Wednesday were more hanging out, and Thursday Bri got to go show everyone how she swims. We also dug into our Easter baskets Thursday night. We were so spoiled, and Brilee has some adorable new clothes and shoes. Then Friday they had to leave. Brilee cried when I dropped her off at Grammy's because they were gone. She had a catch up day, meaning she slept most of it. Today we went to the Fleetwood's house for an Easter Egg Hunt. She might not be the best egg hunter, but she sure enjoys herself!!!!! After the hunt we went and died eggs, went to Wal-Mart, and headed home. Now she and Jake are riding Goldie... perfect day!
Bri's basket from Cali. included this adorable singing and jumping bunny... It's amazing the batteries are still going as much as she has played it. She has the whole song memorized.
Coloring bunny ears with Caleb and Shannon (or Sarah, who really knows anyway?). Brilee told me yesterday, "Caleb is a boy so he can not have my lips. But he is my best friend, and so he is a girl." (Then she said the EXACT SAME thing about Scooter.. she is confused!)

All the kids on the starting line...

Messy tasks are always her favorite...
