Halloween Eve!

We had a wonderful Halloween Eve! We spent the morning at the sales barn and playing with chickens, the afternoon napping, and the evening collecting candy... Could a day get any better?
Happy Halloween!!!
I can only get Brilee to look at the camera and smile if I say, "Lets get a picture of your kitty."

Brilee the spider, Annalee the vampire (Twilight of course!), Iron Man Tytan, and Scooter the puppy getting ready to "Trunk or Treat".
First trunk of the night = SUCCESS. Brilee threw a FIT because she wanted to wear her "spider" shoes, but she has big sores on her feet from wearing them yesterday!
Elly the witch, Chloey the maid (she won't come clean my house), and, of course, the spider.
Haddy was an ADORABLE little piggy!

Trouble! Brilee is big into holding hands lately. It doesn't matter who it is, if they stand by her she is saying, "my hand".
Dorothy and Maid Chloey.

After Trunk or Treat we headed to Vernal! We got their just as the Parrack girls were Trick or Treating! We were able to finish the neighborhood off with them. We then hopped in the car and went to Wheelers. Brilee was a big fan, and they gave her lots of candy. After Wheeler's we tried to go to Garn and Aaron's, but they weren't home... So we headed to the Wilde's. Brilee was spoiled there, and called a "special" visitor! She got a monster candy bar, and Julie told her to take a candy bar out of the bowl. Well, my daughter digs both hands in and takes two big handfuls of candy! We finished our night off with the Gillman's. Mama G hooked Brilee up! She filled her bucket to the brim. Brilee sees her bucket and gets giddy. We headed back to gma and gpa's to watch the Utes beat Air Force, and USC get beat by the Ducks.

Witch, Cow Girl, and Spider!
Jessica told us some exciting news! But, I better not post it on the blog until I get her permission...
She was exhausted, but so hyped up on sugar that she didn't know what to do! So she put on her witch fingers and scared us, did some flips, and chased the dogs... She was asleep before we were a mile up the road.

Grammy bought her toys instead of candy for Halloween! Brilee thinks she is BIG stuff with her own computer. Don't even think you can try and play with it... SHE DOESN'T allow it!

Trick or Treat

Brilee LOVES candy! This is the best holiday ever. Brilee was going to be a lobster this year, but last week when the costume was supposed to arrive I got an email saying it was on back order. Luckily, Julie had a cute spider costume that is PERFECT for our little bear! Julie, my Mom, Jaylie, Chazzy, Rowdy, Brilee, and I went to the Roosevelt main street trick or treat this afternoon. It was GrEaT! Brilee LOVED the candy and all the people. She kept telling the scary little boy behind us, "No, NO, NO... you scary." She is so much fun right now, and is always making us laugh. Tomorrow we get to dress up again!!!! YA.
Out the door!

"Lets get some CANDY!"
Wells Fargo was our first stop of the day! Brilee wanted to eat every piece of candy she got the second she got it! She was not happy about keeping it in her pumpkin.
Look two suckers!
Cutest spider and monkey!!!

Brilee is about as patient as I am. She could not handle the lines, and so she took off! She knew where the good stuff was.

By the end of the trick or treat Brilee's feet were killing her! We had to let her walk bare foot.
Jake and I went to our friends house tonight for a Halloween party! It was a blast.
Kade (the host) acted weird about dressing up all week, and so Jake and I figured we would be the only ones dressed up. We down played our costumes, and then when we show up this is what we see!
Everyone (except the Pickup's). Grease couple, ketchup/mustard, Joker, Grim Reaper, saloon girl, and cowboy. (It looks like I am holding Johnny's hand in the picture for some reason... It really is Jake's hand though!)
Boys!
Girls!

BoO!

Our annual Booing went off with a hit this year! We Booed nine people, and only got caught at seven houses! This year I was the only adult, and so I was a little out numbered by the six kids with me. It was a blast and it won't be long until Brilee is old enough to come! She will love it.
The BOO'ING team!
She didn't make the cut this year, but next year she already knows how to dress the part.
Our first house! It was still really light, and one of the only houses we DIDN'T get caught at!
They all "Hit the Dirt" real well!

Brilee and I got to go on a fun four wheeler ride while Jake trained dogs. She ABSOLUTELY loves the four wheeler!

Granny put on a quilt this evening, and for some reason whenever the quilt frames come up the kids all have to crawl around under them.
Brilee loves Rowdy, but Chazzy didn't want her laying to close to him.
But she was still able to give him lots of kisses.

Spike Only Elk Tag... NOT FOR AJ!

Friday the Nyberg's, Garn, and us headed South down and East bound! We left around noon, and after a LONG drive we arrived at camp at about five. We got camp all ready, and the boys went to get wood and do a little scouting. I put together some tin foil dinners, and got them cooking. The boys got back with all sorts of goofy stories about coyote attacks. Our dinner was best described as crispy. We ate, put the babies to bed, and hung out by the camp fire. It was freezing! After a long night Friday the boys were up early to get the hunt over with. They walked into the roadless area right at day light, and were lucky enough to run into a huge herd of elk. Jake said it was awesome! The elk were fighting and bugling. There were a few spikes that they were lucky enough to shoot. Garn shot the first one. It didn't run far. The herd took off after Garn's shot, but two bulls stayed back and fought. They had to chase the bulls off. Jake shot the next one and it took off! It went into a hole that Jake wasn't to excited about. He and Derrik took off after the blood trail when Derrik saw another spike. He shot it and it took off. Ironically, it ran right to Jake's. Luckily for the boys they were in a rough hole, but the two were dead within 30 feet of each other. While the boys were hunting Josie and I slept in with the babies, hung out at camp, and went for a drive. We were visiting about Teen Mom when the boys pulled in. I gave Jake the thumbs up or down sign and he gave me a thumb down. I said that's a HUGE smile for somebody who didn't kill anything. They got out and said "no luck". They were covered in blood, and Josie and I were not easy to trick! We cooked some breakfast and decided we would all hike in to see Garn's elk. Brilee and Addy rode the horses in with their Dad's and they loved it! I think the Dad's were pretty happy about it too. The boys took off to get Jake and Derrik's elk out and Josie and I turned around to walk back to the trucks. It wasn't a long or hard hike, but it wasn't just a walk in the park either. I packed Brilee and Josie had Addy. Brilee decided to fall asleep on the way out, and she was snoring so loud! We got back to camp thinking the boys wouldn't be to far behind us. Well, they were! I was sure something had gone wrong. They got back after dark and said it just took a long time. Garn took off and we hung out by the fire again. We were all exhausted and so we went to bed pretty early. The girl's didn't sleep in as long Sunday morning, and so we went for a drive to look for elk. We found a big herd and saw some nice deer. Then it was time to pack up camp and make the LONG drive home. Brilee and I slept most of the drive home (lucky me, I caught a nasty cold down there). I am so glad we went! It was so much fun. The babies did so well. Poor Addy was teething and feeling sicky, but she did so well. Brilee LOVES Addy and spent the whole time asking to hold her and hitting her. I don't know what to do to get her to stop hitting. Sorry Addy!!!!!! Brilee loves camping and being outside. She is definitely going to miss camping in the next seven months. We are so glad we went down there, and we are for sure going back next year!
We wanted Garn to pull our horses home, but we couldn't get Garn's fifth wheel ball out of his truck. Jake spent a long time hammering under the truck, and they all used a lot of brain effort to figure out how to fix it. We finally gave up, and they decided we would have to make the four hour drive back. DIN DING DING! Josie finally had the idea of a century... Garn would drive our truck home!

The Dad's and babe's heading in!

Right before our hike out.

Brilee is a great scout!

Our camp spot... lovely on one side and burned on the other side.

Small elk without Jake's trick photography...
Big 'ole spikes with the trickery.

Our harvest!
